Teriyaki Salmon

3 Feb

Store bought teriyaki sauce is okay, but nothing beats homemade. This sauce is simple to make and keeps in the refrigerator for several days.

  • salmon fillets

  • 2 tbs brown sugar
  • 2tbs mirin or sake
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 2 tbs orange juice
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tbs fresh ginger finely minced
  • 1tbs low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Mix marinade stirring until sugar dissolves. Place salmon fillets, skin side up in,  in a ziplock bag. Pour marinade over the salmon. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Put salmon, skin side down, with the marinade in an oven proofed dish. Bake in 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until flakey.
