Sautéed Asparagus with Lemon

Asparagus not only tastes delicious, but it is also wonderful source of nutrients for a healthy body and mind. Lemon makes this asparagus dish very refreshing.

  • 1 glove garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot finely chopped
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 1/4 lemon juiced
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • salt and pepper

Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the garlic and shallots 1 minute. Add the asparagus, cook until lightly charred. Add the wine and cook until asparagus is tender. Remove from heat, season with salt and pepper and with the lemon juice. You can serve this warm or cold over a salad.
